What is StarMapper?

StarMapper is a free astrocartography map calculator. Enter your birth date, birth time, and birth city, and it instantly draws your planetary lines — Sun through Pluto at the Ascendant, Midheaven, Descendant, and IC — on an interactive world map. No sign-up and no payment are required to generate and explore your full map.

Is the astrocartography chart really free?

Yes. Enter your birth date, birth time, and birth city and StarMapper draws your complete astrocartography chart, all 48 planetary lines, on an interactive world map. There is no sign-up, no payment, and nothing on the map is locked. The only paid items are optional written readings of your chart.

What do I need to generate a free astrocartography chart?

Three things: your date of birth, your time of birth as exactly as you can find it (it moves the angle lines, so check a birth certificate if you can), and the city you were born in. StarMapper resolves the coordinates and the historical time zone for you, so there is nothing to look up.

What line on your astrocartography map should you live on?

There is no single "best" line — it depends on what you want from a location. Venus and Jupiter lines are classically considered the most beneficial (love, luck, abundance), while Sun, Moon, and Mercury lines support identity, emotional grounding, and communication. Saturn and Pluto lines are often avoided by beginners because they amplify challenge, discipline, and transformation.

What does an astrocartography map tell you?

An astrocartography map shows where on Earth each of your natal planets was rising, culminating, setting, or at its lowest point when you were born. Relocating to or traveling through a line's region tends to amplify that planet's themes in your life.

How accurate is astrocartography?

The planetary positions are mathematically precise. Accuracy of angular (ASC/MC/IC/DSC) lines on your personal map depends on knowing your birth time: a 4-minute error shifts an MC line by roughly 1° of longitude (~110 km at the equator).
